The InterTabac & CB Expo 2026 is Europe’s largest trade event for tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and cannabis products. From September 15–17, 2026, around 800 exhibitors from over 60 countries will gather at the Messe Dortmund – including manufacturers, distributors, and specialty retailers. If you work in B2B with tobacco, smoking accessories, or legal cannabis products, you should mark this date on your calendar. The fair is the year’s most important international industry meeting point.
What to expect
InterTabac covers the entire value chain: cigars and pipes, water pipe accessories, e-cigarettes and liquids, snus and modern nicotine products, and – in recent years – the rapidly growing market for CBD and cannabis products. The CB Expo is no longer just a side area but will be expanded in 2026 into a dedicated focus area with its own hall.
There you’ll find specialized exhibitors for:
- CBD flowers, oils, and extracts
- Cannabis accessories (grinders, bongs, vaporizers)
- Grow equipment and cultivation technology
- Packaging and labeling for legal cannabis products
- Advice on compliance and legal matters
Running in parallel is the InterSupply – a trade fair for machinery, raw materials, and packaging materials. Together, both events represent the complete ecosystem of the specialty retail sector.
The audience is strictly B2B: retail chains, specialized shops, online retailers, wholesalers, and importers. Private individuals are not admitted – proof of business registration is required.
Location and travel
The fair takes place at the Messe Dortmund (Rheinlanddamm 200) – one of Germany’s largest fairgrounds. Getting there is straightforward:
- By car: Easily accessible via highways A40 and A45. Parking is available on the fairgrounds.
- By train: Dortmund Central Station is just a few kilometers away. Buses and trains run directly to the fair from there.
- By plane: Dortmund Airport is 10 km away; alternatively, Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn are accessible.
Tickets and prices
Admission tickets for trade visitors start at €35. The exact ticket price depends on when and how many days you want to visit the fair. On the official ticket page, you’ll find current prices and any early-bird offers for advance sales.
Important: You’ll need proof of business registration (trade register entry, business license, or broker’s license) to gain admission. This will be requested during registration.
Why this event?
InterTabac 2026 brings several innovations that bring the organizer closer to industry wishes:
New schedule: For the first time, the fair runs Tuesday through Thursday – no longer Thursday through Saturday. This creates pure business days without weekend crowds and enables focused B2B conversations.
Expanded CB Expo: The cannabis and CBD sector is growing continuously. In 2026, it gets its own hall and thus greater visibility. This reflects market development: legal CBD products and regulated cannabis markets are established business fields, no longer niche.
International reach: With 800 exhibitors from over 60 countries, InterTabac is a genuine networking event. If you’re looking for new suppliers, distributors, or business partners, you’ll find them concentrated here over three days.
For specialty retailers in the CBD and cannabis sector, the fair is an opportunity to discover new products, negotiate with manufacturers, and learn about market trends and compliance requirements.
