The Hemp Health and Innovation Expo, or HHI Expo for short, is Australia's largest public event dedicated to hemp and cannabis. In June 2026, it returns to Sydney Showground in Sydney Olympic Park, opening its doors to industry and the public over two days. According to the organizers, more than 50,000 people have visited the expo over the past five years.
The concept is deliberately broad in scope. Alongside exhibitors from the medical cannabis sector, the focus includes industrial hemp, food, beverages, textiles, cosmetics, building materials, extraction technology and horticultural equipment. The program is complemented by a speaker series featuring local and international experts discussing current research, regulatory developments in Australia and the everyday experiences of cannabis patients.
For the Australian industry, the HHI Expo is an important milestone. Medical cannabis has been legal in the country since 2016, the market is growing double digits and attracting more and more international suppliers. The trade show is an ideal venue to test products directly in front of a mixed audience and find regional distribution partners. At the same time, the HHI Expo appeals to end consumers who want to learn about legal ways to access medical cannabis.
The dates will be officially confirmed by the organizer shortly before the event. A visit can be easily combined with an extended trip to Australia.
