Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit

The Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit is not a traditional industry event, but rather a closed-door working meeting by invitation only. From April 19–21, 2026, regulatory authorities, policy experts, patient representatives, and public health officials meet in London alongside selected industry representatives and researchers to explore common standards for the international cannabis market.

Delegations from more than 30 countries are expected, including Canada, Australia, Germany, Jamaica, and several EU member states. The opening on the evening of April 19 features a Welcome Reception, followed by a networking dinner on April 20. The actual two-day symposium on April 20 and 21 combines panels, fireside chats, and interactive workshops.

The summit builds on the White Paper Book published in 2025. The focus centers on two guiding principles: Standards and Responsibility. How can patient safety, public health protection, and innovation capacity be balanced in a market developing simultaneously in medical, recreational, and industrial dimensions? Specific topics include GMP comparability, pharmacovigilance surveillance, import and export corridors, and advertising and youth protection regulations.

For the DACH region, the summit is relevant because it sets the course for international recognition of national regulatory frameworks—from Germany's partial legalization to Switzerland's pilot phase. Participation is by invitation only; inquiries should be directed to events@cannabisregsummit.com.
