The EIHA Conference is the most important European annual meeting of the industrial hemp sector. In 2026, it takes place from June 10-12 for the first time in Poland — at the prestigious IWNiRZ Institute (Instytut Włókien Naturalnych i Roślin Zielarskich, Institute for Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants) in Poznań. With this, the European Industrial Hemp Association is sending a strong signal for Central and Eastern Europe as a new growth region for the industrial hemp sector.
The three-day conference brings together around 250 international decision-makers from agriculture, textiles, construction, food, cosmetics and automotive. The program includes expert presentations, panels and a curated exhibition on hemp fibres, shives, hemp seeds, CBD and extracts as well as new processing technologies.
A particular focus in 2026 is on novel food and CBD regulation in the EU, the EU carbon removal framework and the role of hemp in sustainable supply chains. Technical tracks focus on composites, textiles, construction, food & feed as well as cosmetics.
Poznań is accessible by train from Berlin in around three hours and offers direct flights from many European cities. The conference is strictly B2B and is aimed at manufacturers, processors, researchers and policy actors from the hemp industry.
