Konopex Ostrava 2026 – Preview of Czech Republic’s Trade Show

Konopex Ostrava takes place for the ninth time in 2026 – and has long established itself as the second major cannabis trade show in the Czech Republic. From April 24 to 26, the fair opens its doors at Trojhalí Karolina, a heritage-protected industrial building in the heart of Ostrava. For visitors from Germany and Central Europe, the event is a great opportunity to get to know the local hemp scene while exploring one of Moravia’s most interesting cities.

What to expect

Konopex combines a classic trade fair with festival atmosphere. The range is broad: exhibitors present grow supplies and cultivation technology, seeds, post-harvest processing, finished cannabis products, and smoking accessories. In addition, there are information booths on medical applications and legal issues – particularly relevant for visitors who want to learn about Czech regulations on home cultivation (up to three plants for adults).

The program goes beyond mere product presentation. In the Fundación-CANNA lecture hall, experts hold technical talks on cultivation, genetics, and consumption. The Terra Aquatica Music Stage provides live music and entertainment. A separate Cannabis Cup competition awards high-quality products. Saturday evening features an afterparty with electronic music.

Opening hours are family-friendly: Friday 1–8 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.–8 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m.–4:20 p.m. Seniors over 65, people with disabilities, and children under 13 receive free admission.

Location and getting there

Trojhalí Karolina is located in Ostrava, Ruská 2887/101 – a distinctive historic building in the city center. Ostrava is easily accessible from several directions: direct train connections run from Prague (approx. 4.5 hours), Vienna (approx. 3 hours), and Krakow (approx. 2.5 hours). German visitors often use the connection via Dresden or drive through Poland. On-site, the venue is accessible by public transport or on foot from the train station.

Ostrava itself is an industrial city with a growing cultural offering – museums, galleries, and restaurants make an extended stay worthwhile. Accommodation prices are significantly cheaper than in Western Europe.

Tickets and prices

Online tickets start at 200 CZK (approximately 8 euros) for day passes. A three-day pass costs 300 CZK. Tickets are available through the official ticketing platform. Early-bird offers are possible – it’s worth booking in advance. Note the different opening hours by day when planning your visit.

Why this event?

Over nine editions, Konopex has proven itself a reliable meeting point for the Moravian and Central European hemp scene. Unlike pure sales fairs, it offers genuine knowledge transfer through lectures and direct exchange with experts. The Cannabis Cup competition brings quality standards into the conversation. The mix of information, networking, and entertainment makes the event interesting for both beginners and experienced growers.

For German visitors, Konopex is also attractive because it offers an authentic insight into Czech cannabis culture – without the commercial overheating of some Western European large-scale fairs. Prices are moderate, getting there is straightforward, and Ostrava itself is worth discovering.
